I have been entering the on-line exhibition of alphabets, the deadline for finished ideas is tomorrow. Luckily we don’t each need to prepare all 26. I have managed 6 so far and I’ve rather run out of steam now!
I decided to go with the theme of condiments – as the exhibition is entitled Alphabet Soup.
I have made S for Salt, P for Pepper, K for ketchup, M for Mustard, V for Vinegar and my last, shown here, deviates just a little, though some do love raw onion as a condiment on a cheese sandwich I believe!
I like how its come out looking like its been made in a Art nouveau style, even being made of an onion. Looks good.
Bet yours runs ‘rings’ around it, Sal :)
Ha! Thanks Julia
Thanks Benjamin – making letters with onions was enjoyable, the variety of ring sizes helps but the onion tears were a bit of a nuisance!
Very elegant. And what more frequent ingredient is there in soup than onion?
Water maybe but onion is a surprisingly eloquent material for writing and has the added ability to awake one’s sense of smell.
